Offering concentrations in mechanical engineering and mechatronics, the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program is directed toward both full-time and part-time students with a special emphasis on providing training and experience in performing independent research on topics with theoretical as well as applied interest and managing projects.

Admission Requirements

  • Successful completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education in mechanical engineering. Other related disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission. Candidates with a lower GPA may be considered for conditional admittance or nondegree status.
  • Candidates with an undergraduate degree not accredited by ABET are encouraged to submit a GRE score from the past five years.
