Program Description

The College of Education and the School of Music prepare students for a rewarding career as an instrumental music educator or a vocal music educator in the elementary through high school levels. The rigorous course of study has been designed with the student's future success in mind. Courses in music theory, music history, educational concepts, vocal music, instrumental techniques and conducting, along with performance in large ensembles, chamber music groups, campus choral ensembles, and private study with world-class faculty combine together to develop confident, knowledgeable and effective music educators and performers. Admission Requirements

The student must show a minimum GPA of 2.70 or its equivalent in high school.
