Master of Education in School Counseling

Program Description

The primary mission of the school counseling program is to prepare professional counselors who specialize in the school environment. This program adheres to national standards set by professional organizations (American Counseling Association and American School Counselors Association) and standards set by the state Department of Education. These standards are linked to the criteria set forth by the National Board for Certified Counselors. This will enable students to pursue the National Certified Counselor and the National Certified School Counselor designation if they wish. In order to promote professionalism, students are encouraged to obtain these certificates and to actively participate in professional organizations.

Admission Requirements

  • A 2.75 GPA overall or 3.00 GPA in the last 60 hours attempted in undergraduate degree.

Remarks:

  • I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $25,100.
