Program Description

Exercise science is an interdisciplinary field focused on the study of maintaining and improving the health of patients and clients across the age spectrum. The Exercise Science for Health Professions Program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for entry into a wide variety of disciplines, particularly health professions graduate programs. Students complete undergraduate courses during the first three years and begin the professional phase of the physical therapy program during your fourth year. You will receive a bachelor’s degree at the end of your fourth year and a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the end of your sixth year.

Admission Requirements

• High school grades (minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average) and class rank;
• American College Test (ACT) (minimum 20 composite ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) (minimum 950 composite SAT) scores;
  • for those students unable to take the ACT or SAT due to COVID-19 closing testing centers, the following criteria will be used:
    • An Academic Letter of Recommendation;
    • A graded writing sample of previous academic work;
    • An interview with University Admissions personnel;
