Program Description

Grow your impact on the sustainable management of land, water and other essential natural resources. This applicable, practical and versatile science degree will develop your potential to help shape a healthy future. As the world changes, the challenges for scientists evolve. How do we grow enough food whilst lessening environmental impact? How do we maintain and support a healthy natural environment? How do we protect ecosystems from biological threats? This 3-year, full-time Lincoln University degree will prepare you to face the big issues via a flexible programme of scientific study.

How you’ll grow

  • Create your own science major in an area not covered by the named Majors, focusing on biochemistry, genetics, animal science or plant science.
  • Learn how to apply your knowledge through the environment, through ecosystems, plant ecology or at a molecular level.
  • Build on a firm grounding in basic sciences by combining study in areas that interest you such as ecology, soil science, genetics or animal science.
  • Preparing you to contribute to sustainable management and conservation of land, water, air and New Zealand’s abundant natural resources.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed 12 years of schooling and a minimum average of 75%, and 60% in English
