Applied Geology provides unique opportunities to combine theory and practice with real-world experience to make a tangible contribution to local and global challenges.By using New Zealand as your laboratory, you can tailor your undergraduate degree to any number of future opportunities and career pathways. You can choose to combine your applied science major with other subjects in the arts, business and sciences, and position yourself for a successful and valuable career that makes a difference to the Earth, the environment and our communities.

Admission Requirements

1. Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences).
2. Every applicant shall have fulfilled one of the following conditions:
   1. be a graduate and have achieved an average grade of at least B in the relevant 300-level papers;
   2. have obtained a Postgraduate Certificate or a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science with an average grade of at least B;
   3. have equivalent alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences).
