Program Description

Immerse yourself in our specialist printmaking workshop at Cambridge School of Art, where our facilities enable you to engage with the histories of information and technological media, fine-art, craft and mechanical reproduction, as well as new digital and mixed-media approaches to ideas of reproducibility and the mediated image, within the expanded field of print. On MA Printmaking course, you will explore and embrace new ways of thinking and making within a fine-art, multi-disciplinary, experimental andcritically informed environment, supported by experienced print and fine art practitioners. By recognising its traditions and also adopting a forward-thinking approach to what printmaking can be in the 21st century and beyond, you will be encouraged to take risks, to challenge and question existing conventions of print, and to consider its critical and contemporary contexts.

Working alongside MA Fine Art students and other students from across the art school, you will have access to print-specific facilities including: etching & intaglio; screen-printing; plate lithography; relief printing; risograph; laser cutting; 3D printing, as well as access to 3D/sculpture workshops, photography darkrooms, and computer suites for video production, and digital imaging.

Admission Requirements

• A recognised pre-masters course
• 3 year Bachelors or 4 year Bachelor Engineering or Technology, minimum division 2 (50% - 59%) in relevant subjects
• 4 year Bachelor of Laws complying with above for entry to LLM

Remarks:

• For IELTS Waiver - At least 65% marks in English in Higher Secondary School
• The university will not accept a master's degree student for another master's degree course.
