Program Description

Whether you're a civil engineer looking for a management qualification, you're new to a construction management role, or you're looking to advance to a management position, you'll gain the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to succeed as a manager in the building sector. You'll develop your own management style and have the opportunity to consolidate your new skills by carrying out your own research or work-based project.

Our eight key modules are designed to give you a deep understanding of the role of a manager throughout the entire construction process, whether they're leading and managing teams or solving construction-related problems. You'll therefore enhance your employability as a manager in a wide range of roles across the built environment sector.

Construction and civil engineering managers are responsible for the practical management and planning of every stage of a construction project. They ensure building projects are completed safely, within budget and on time. Our Construction and Civil Engineering MSc is designed to give you a deep understanding of the role of a manager throughout the entire construction process, whether they're leading and managing teams or solving construction-related problems. You'll therefore enhance your employability as a manager in a wide range of roles across the built environment sector.

Admission Requirements

  • A recognised pre-masters course
  • 3-year Bachelors or 4 years Bachelor Engineering or Technology, minimum division 2 (50% - 59%) in relevant subjects
  • 4-year Bachelor of Laws complying with the above for entry to LLM

Remarks:

  • For IELTS Waiver - At least 65% marks in English in Higher Secondary School
  • The university will not accept a master's degree student for another master's degree course.
  • This course is only available on the Chelmsford campus
