Program Description

Develop a solid background in research methodology and financial econometrics, and carry out empirical research in any area of finance with the Finance specialisation in the Master of Business. Interested in postgraduate study in finance? With the Master of Business in Finance you explore a topic of your interest and learn from research-active academics who are experts in their field - from corporate finance and governance, to financial markets, investments and financial risk management.

AUT's world-leading Finance department collaborates closely with the Auckland Centre for Financial Research. We provide first-rate research support and involve postgraduate finance students in our research seminars and related activities. To support your postgraduate research, you have access to various databases including Datastream, SIRCA, Compustat and OSIRIS.

Admission Requirements

Completed one of the following or equivalent with a B grade average or higher in courses at level 7 or above:

  • Bachelor of Business OR
  • Graduate Diploma in Business
