This course is designed to reflect the changing roles of Pharmacy Technicians. Sláinte Care (2018), the Irish Government’s ten-year programme for health services in Ireland, places an emphasis on prevention and self-management of chronic illness. Pharmacy teams in Ireland, both in community and hospital settings, have a key role in the delivery of Sláinte Care’s objectives. Pharmacy technicians are vital members of these pharmacy teams.
A Level 6 Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies from the SETU Carlow or other Higher Education Institute, IPU Pharmacy Technician Course or equivalent.
