Program Description

Develop your skills as an adult educator through UFV’s Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education — a mid-career professional development program. Tailor your studies to fit your busy schedule. All courses are online with the exception of a few classroom sessions, with video conference access if you are a distance student. The Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education program is completely flexible and allows you to:

• Study part-time or full time
• Choose online courses on a rotating schedule
• Take evening and Saturday classes
• Earn credit for prior learning, including from non-traditional settings

As an adult educator, you may provide staff training and development in private businesses, government services, and non-profit organizations. With a UFV Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education, you can find employment in a range of fields, including:

Admission Requirements

All applicants must meet ONE of the following:

• B.C. high school graduation or equivalent;
• Or completion of a minimum of nine UFV or transferable post-secondary credits with a minimum 2.00 GPA (C average) based on all credits attempted;
• Or a minimum of 19 years of age by the start of the first class;
• Or, for admission into preparatory level programs only, a minimum of 17 years of age and out of high school for at least one year by the start of the semester.
