Program Description

Build a strong foundation in the sciences. Preparing students to apply for the Mercy University graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies. The Bachelor of Science in Health Science, Pre-Physician Assistant Studies Concentration, offers a comprehensive curriculum grounded in scientific principles and its practical application to prepare students for application to a graduate physician assistant program. The diverse curriculum that includes general education requirements, the foundational sciences and psychology courses that are typically pre-requisites for application to a graduate program in physician assistant studies.

Admission Requirements

• Official academic transcripts and/or Foreign Academic Credential Evaluation (FACE)* for all foreign transcripts. Evaluations of foreign transcripts are accepted from any NACES or AICE member such as WES, IFCS, Scholaro, or SpanTran.
• Mercy College takes a holistic approach in reviewing each student’s application. In the admission decision, we review a student’s transcript and academic record, including the courses taken and the grades attained. Other factors considered include the written essay, letters of recommendation, leadership potential, extracurricular and service-related activities.
• We do not require ACT or SAT for international undergraduate students
