Bachelor of Science Legal Studies: Political Science
Program Description
Are you interested in politics, the law, business, or government? Then Mercy University’s four-year Legal Studies with a Specialization in Political Science Program is for you. Leading to a Bachelor of Science degree, the program is for students interested in law school, or a career in politics and public administration, or in pursuing a graduate degree. You’ll develop analytical, writing and oral advocacy skills and will be introduced to the skills necessary to resolve conflict such as: mediation, negotiation and arbitration. Please note that this Specialization does not prepare students for a career as a Paralegal and that the Specialization in Political Science is not approved by the American Bar Association.

Admission Requirements
- Official academic transcripts and/or Foreign Academic Credential Evaluation (FACE)* for all foreign transcripts. Evaluations of foreign transcripts are accepted from any NACES or AICE member such as WES, IFCS, Scholaro, or SpanTran.
- Mercy College takes a holistic approach in reviewing each student’s application. In the admission decision, we review a student’s transcript and academic record, including the courses taken and the grades attained. Other factors considered include the written essay, letters of recommendation, leadership potential, extracurricular and service-related activities.
- We do not require ACT or SAT for international undergraduate students
