Program Description

The Traditional 4-Year Nursing Program is designed to provide education in preparation for licensure and professional nursing practice. The program offers traditional face-to-face classes. Clinical learning experiences will be conducted via a state-of-the-art simulation laboratory as well as traditional, hands-on, instructor-supervised training in Westchester County and New York City health care facilities. This education experience will provide the preparation needed for the challenging and diverse health care needs of our community and throughout the United States. Upon successful completion, students will earn a baccalaureate degree, be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination and be qualified for admission to graduate nursing programs.

Admission Requirements

• Official academic transcripts and/or Foreign Academic Credential Evaluation (FACE)* for all foreign transcripts. Evaluations of foreign transcripts are accepted from any NACES or AICE member such as WES, IFCS, Scholaro, or SpanTran.
• Mercy College takes a holistic approach in reviewing each student’s application. In the admission decision, we review a student’s transcript and academic record, including the courses taken and the grades attained. Other factors considered include the written essay, letters of recommendation, leadership potential, extracurricular and service-related activities.
• We do not require ACT or SAT for international undergraduate students
