Program Description

Students are prepared for research-focused and applied careers that address the needs of diverse families and individuals across the lifespan. The Human Development and Family Sciences program offers a flexible model of graduate training that allows students to develop individualized degree plans catered to career goals, provides opportunities to conduct research, supports cross-disciplinary education, and emphasizes mentorship and professional opportunities to support students' development and career placement.

Admission Requirements

  • A GPA of 3.0 is required. (plus any completed graduate courses)
  • baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university (Non-U.S. degrees must be equivalent to a four-year U.S. Bachelor’s degree. In most cases, three-year degrees are not considered. 
  • official GRE (general test only) required with competitive scores in the verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections
