Program Description

Graduates from a technical, engineering and science background have the potential to reach the pinnacle of management and leadership in industry. Through external consultation with business and industry, this MSc in Engineering Leadership and Management (ELM) has been designed to equip you with the vital graduate skills needed to succeed in an engineering management or leadership role, exploring leadership styles, processes, and the ever-increasing focus on soft skills.As a student on the Master’s course in Engineering Leadership and Management, you will gain and build upon the key skills and knowledge required for a management and/or leadership role in the engineering sector, and learn how to navigate the turbulent environment in today's business world through the eyes of a technical specialist.

Working alongside the School of Management and supported by an industry board made up of leaders from a variety of backgrounds and organisations, we ensure we keep our subject matter relevant and up to date. Our partnership with industry means that students are provided with real strategic challenges and scenarios to work on, as well as solid recommendations and solutions to strengthen their learning, understanding and problem-solving ability.

Admission Requirements

• General requirement-
  • Indian Students-
    • Successful completion of a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with either a Second Class Upper Division or a Second Class Lower Division equivalent:
    • Second Class Upper Division equivalent: 60%; or CGPA 6.7 (10 point system); or CGPA 6 (7 point system); or CGPA 3 (4 point system) - including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
    • Second Class Lower Division equivalent: 55% or CGPA 6.1 (10 point system) or CGPA 5.5 (7 point system) or CGPA 2.67 (4 point system) for institutes of national importance/LLB) including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
  • Arab Students-Candidates are expected to have successfully completed a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division: CGPA 2.5 (out of 4.0) or Grade C+ CGPA 3.5 (out of 5) or 75% or Grade C+ with IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each part of the test (or equivalent)
• Students must attain a minimum of a 2:2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree. Any degree subject will be considered.
