Program Description
Have you got your sights set on a career in finance or banking? If so this Finance course at Swansea University is designed for graduates like you who want a specialised programme to accelerate them into their exciting new career.This advanced programme is for students who have already studied accounting, and/or finance, at undergraduate level. The course takes a data driven approach to analysis of financial markets and organisational information. It combines academic theory of finance with a strong practical perspective using current trends and industry practice to inform teaching and discussion.
You will develop a sound understanding of the role and importance of accounting information in the financial management of complex organisations and a strong comprehension of finance and its associated disciplines. The programme covers the key principles of finance, financial modelling and financial markets to prepare you for a dynamic career in finance, banking and a range of other sectors.
Admission Requirements
- Students must attain a 2:2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree that has included a range of modules in accounting/finance or quantitative/statistical methods.

- Successful completion of a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with either a Second Class Upper Division or a Second Class Lower Division equivalent:
- Second Class Upper Division equivalent: 60%; or CGPA 6.7 (10 point system); or CGPA 6 (7 point system); or CGPA 3 (4 point system) - including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
- Second Class Lower Division equivalent: 55% or CGPA 6.1 (10 point system) or CGPA 5.5 (7 point system) or CGPA 2.67 (4 point system) for institutes of national importance/LLB) including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
- Arab Students-Candidates are expected to have successfully completed a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division: CGPA 2.5 (out of 4.0) or Grade C+ CGPA 3.5 (out of 5) or 75% or Grade C+ with IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each part of the test (or equivalent)
