Program Description

Ancient History explores and examines Greek and Roman civilisations, which may appear distant, but remain influential even today, and studying this four-year BA degree opens up a range of exciting career opportunities by helping you develop skills, which are highly valued by employers.

The foundation year gives you an exciting introduction to higher education, exploring the humanities and social sciences before progressing to the full degree programme. It’s ideal if you need a little more support after further education or you are returning to education after a gap.You’ll have the chance to explore Greek and Roman history and society, architecture and archaeology, warfare and empire, gender, religion, politics and economics, and you can learn Greek or Latin language.

Admission Requirements

• Arab Students:- Candidates are expected to have achieved one of the following in the relevant curriculum:
  • Al-Thanawaya Al-Amah (GSEC): 60% overall including 60% in 5 relevant subjects
  • American High School: Minimum GPA 2.0 (70%)
  • Cambridge iGCSE: 5 passed with a minimum C grade average
  • IB Certificate: Min 20 Points and must pass mathematics
• Indian Students:-Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
