Program Description

Learn about the science behind drugs and medicines, their effects on living systems, and their role in treating disease on our Medical Pharmacology degree course.You will cover a diverse range of topics, including toxicology, chemistry, genetics, reproductive biology, physiology, immunology, pharmacogenomics, neuroscience, and drug development.You will develop excellent analytical and project management skills, and learn how to design experiments and plan work programmes. Medical Pharmacology has been identified as a critical undergraduate degree, required to fill the current work force and skills gaps in medicine and pharmaceutical development. You could also pursue a career or further study in other fields including academic and industrial research, regulation, patent law, and medical writing.

Admission Requirements

• Arab Students:- Candidates are expected to have achieved one of the following in the relevant curriculum:
  • Al-Thanawaya Al-Amah (GSEC): 60% overall including 60% in 5 relevant subjects
  • American High School: Minimum GPA 2.0 (70%)
  • Cambridge iGCSE: 5 passed with a minimum C grade average
  • IB Certificate: Min 20 Points and must pass mathematics
• Indian Students:-Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
