Program Description

Discover how the social and technological changes of the medieval period have influenced modern society and culture in this BA degree programme.You will explore the medieval period through the lenses of war, religion, literature, philosophy, law, and politics, studying key themes and periods of this fascinating era.You will develop excellent research and analytical skills and learn to present your ideas effectively both in writing and verbally.

Our academic staff have particular strengths in researching the history and literature of the Middle Ages, addressing themes such as power and conflict, archaeology and landscapes, gender and sexuality, religion and culture, and medicine. Our graduates have progressed to careers in a wide range of sectors including:

Admission Requirements

• Arab Students:- Candidates are expected to have achieved one of the following in the relevant curriculum:
  • Al-Thanawaya Al-Amah (GSEC): 60% overall including 60% in 5 relevant subjects
  • American High School: Minimum GPA 2.0 (70%)
  • Cambridge iGCSE: 5 passed with a minimum C grade average
  • IB Certificate: Min 20 Points and must pass mathematics
• Indian Students:-Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
