Program Description

Physics combines analytical reasoning and problem solving using the language of mathematics to understand the universe. If you have a deep desire to understand how everything works, from the subatomic quantum world to the vastness of the cosmos, then the BSc Physics degree at Swansea is the course for you.

You will learn physical concepts and mathematical techniques and apply them to understand advances in quantum information, cosmology, semiconductors, lasers, medical, nuclear & particle physics. You will have the opportunity to work on advanced projects, often at the cutting edge of research in these fields, under the supervision of internationally recognised academics.Our graduates have become data scientists, AI engineers, demand forecasters, quantitative finance analysts, electromagnetic signature analysts, cost draftsmen, patent examiners and software engineers in sectors which include government research, the private sector, aerospace, defence, energy, engineering and space exploration.

Admission Requirements

• Arab Students:- Candidates are expected to have achieved one of the following in the relevant curriculum:
  • Al-Thanawaya Al-Amah (GSEC): 60% overall including 60% in 5 relevant subjects
  • American High School: Minimum GPA 2.0 (70%)
  • Cambridge iGCSE: 5 passed with a minimum C grade average
  • IB Certificate: Min 20 Points and must pass mathematics
• Indian Students:-Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
