Program Description

You may have not much on-the-job experience, but you already have a knack for inspiring people to do great things. At UAB, you can learn the skills to manage small teams to large companies and how those skills can be applied to middle and senior management positions.

To succeed as a manager, you need to learn how to be decisive and effectively manage both your employees and your resources. It can be quite the juggling act. Fortunately, our curriculum is specifically designed to cover these challenges. Courses such as Business Communications, Fundamentals of Financial Management, Operations Management, and Basic Marketing will help you learn about the many aspects to being a manager no matter whether you choose to work in health care, education, IT, or a corporation.

Admission Requirements

Satisfactory completion of a secondary/high school diploma with an overall GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale; SAT or ACT may be required for some programs
