Program Description

Materials engineering is a highly diverse field with applications connected to virtually all scientific disciplines. Therefore, the Master of Science program at UAB is a viable option for students whose background includes a baccalaureate degree from other engineering fields or from any number of physical science disciplines. Prospective students should demonstrate competence in fields of study that emphasize structure, processing, performance, and properties of materials.

Admission Requirements

• Successful applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
