Program Description

As a student majoring in cybersecurity, you'll focus on software and hardware security and cryptography. You'll learn techniques to detect and prevent cyber attacks, and public and private sector problems.The need for cybersecurity advances along with technology.  Our cybersecurity major is based on a solid technical background that will prepare you for a variety of careers in the technology, security and computer industries.You'll gain experience and knowledge in cryptography, network security, hardware security, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity ethics. You'll focus on security and privacy in computer systems, networks, software, hardware, databases and web applications. Blending experience and application in mathematics, information systems management, computer science and information technology, our graduates find high-demand careers in governmental agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Administration. As a cybersecurity major, you'll:

• Graduate with cybersecurity technical and management expertise.
• Work one-on-one with faculty members.
• Participate in national cybersecurity competitions.

• A GPA of 2.5 required in year 12th.
