Program Description

The Master of Arts (MA) prepares graduate students to serve in early childhood education as  advocates, educators, policy makers, directors, administrators, and researchers to create engaging and safe learning environments for young children. The department of Teaching, Learning & Sociocultural Studies (TLS) prepares students to investigate and address a broad range of issues in teaching and learning. Emphasizing a sociocultural perspective, the programs nurture innovative ways of knowing, methods of inquiry, and approaches to problem-solving. Several degree programs are available in these three areas:

  • Teaching and Teacher Education
  • Language, Reading, and Culture
  • Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies

Admission Requirements

To be admitted you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona or from an accredited college or university recognized by the University of Arizona
  • A grade point average of 3.0 or higher

  • Yearly tuition fee is given
  • I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $59,875.
