The Operations and Supply Chain Management program at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management provides opportunities for you to develop expertise in time management, customer service and effective leadership. Students apply to the Operations and Supply Chain Management major through a selective process to gain admission. The field of operations and supply chain management originated in manufacturing (where it is called production management) and deals with the management of productive activities. In manufacturing, the creation of physical products is the primary focus; in recent years, the concepts and techniques of operations and supply chain management have been increasingly applied to the creation of services, extending to most types of productive systems.
